How far in advance should we book you?
I’d always recommend booking as soon as you can, I get bookings up to two years in advance and popular summer dates get snapped up quickly.
Get in touch to find out if I’m available on your day.
How do you work on the day?
I work in a very candid, documentary style. Most of the time you won’t even know I’m there as I unobtrusively capture all the fun of your day.
At a couple of points throughout the day, when the light is looking particularly lovely, I’ll steal you away from the party to get some creative, but still relaxed, photographs of you both together. Don’t worry at all about this bit, I’ll make sure that you’re both looking your best as you have a giggle together.
Do you take any family photographs?
I do, I always recommend keeping these to quite a short list – around 8 groupings – so you’re not away from your wedding reception for too long.
Where are you based?
I’m based in Cheshire, but travel all over the UK and abroad to photograph weddings.
What are the benefits of booking two photographers for our wedding day?
There are so many benefits to having two photographers capture your wedding – that’s why I always work with a second professional photographer on my team.
We’re easily able to capture both of you getting ready in the morning – so you can each see what the other got up to! In the ceremony you will get two angles of coverage. This is a great way to capture you walking down the aisle and your reactions to seeing each other!
We work as a team so know exactly where to be and when. One of us will be capturing all your wedding details whilst the other is photographing your guests enjoying themselves. When I’m with you for your wedding portraits my second photographer will be at your reception, capturing your guest’s reactions and setting up for the speeches. We don’t want to miss a moment!
Would you recommend an engagement shoot?
Engagements shoots, or pre-wedding shoots, are a fantastic way to get used to being in front of my camera. Let me know a place that you love, perhaps somewhere that means a lot to you both or simply a spot that you really enjoy visiting. We meet up, have a chat about your plans and I take some lovely portraits of the two of you. You’ll see how laid back and relaxed you can feel in front of the camera which helps with those wedding nerves! Plus you get some fantastic pictures for your wall as well!
Would you like feeding on the day?
Yes please! I’m often with you for around ten hours and so a hot meal for me and my second photographer to refuel and keep us going is always welcomed.
Don’t worry, we’re not after the full three courses or sitting with your guests. We tuck ourselves away in a corner of the bar and are more than happy with a bar meal or main course.
We are really awkward in front of the camera, help us!
That’s ok! I understand, everyone feels this way!
For most of your wedding day I’ll be unobtrusively photographing you both enjoying yourselves with family and friends. When it’s time for pictures of the two of you together we’ll go for a stroll and all you need to do is have a giggle together, hold hands and maybe even have the odd kiss. It’s nice and simple, and you won’t feel awkward! I’ll be gently guiding through any poses so you won’t have to worry about feeling awkward or silly.
How do we book you?
I keep the booking process nice and easy for you. All I need is the signed contract returned along with your booking fee. Then your date is in my diary!
How many images will we receive in our wedding gallery?
After I’ve finished photographing your day I make sure all your images are backed up and safe. Then I start your edit! I carefully go through your images, getting rid of any duplicates or blinks. The rest of your photographs are all edited in my signature style and uploaded to your online wedding gallery. On average you will receive around 100 images and they’re all yours to print, share and download.
